Using Dynamic Content to reduce campaign set-up time

There will always be times where you need to send different information to different groups of subscribers. This might be:

  • Males vs. females or maybe existing customers vs. prospects

  • Insert the subscribers relevant account managers details such as name, email address, job title and phone number as emails sent from a real person always generate a better response rate

  • Different branding information within the email template. For example if you offer newsletters for your white-label partners you can create one version and then each of their logos, colours and address information can be inserted

To set-up different versions for all of these groups could be very time consuming. You might also have a situation where all of the above options occur within an email so there could be unlimited combinations of content. The reality of this is several hours’ manual work.

However as the title of this article suggests there is a way of automating the process using dynamic content rules.

This is how Emailcenter enabled IG Index, the financial markets spread betting company to reduce the number of email variations from 37 to a single set-up every day.

IG Index offer a free two-week trial on a number of different products. Over the course of this two-week trial they contact each customer on a few occasions. Each email is delivered in the home language and the content varies according to how long into the trial they are meaning there could be 37 different variations.

As Maxemail saves the rules to who gets what content as templates there is minimal work required each time a new list is sent to the IG Index marketing team.

If you have any emails you would like to automate please contact us and we would be happy to provide you with advice.
