Consumers receive a LOT of email
Most consumers receive several marketing emails a day making the inbox a crowded and cluttered place. Emailcenter propose strategies for assisting marketers in getting their messages to stand out from this clutter.
Relevance is the key
All research on email marketing supports the idea that the more relevant an email, the more effective it will be. Consumers are clearly frustrated with how many messages have no interest or relevance to them.
Marketers are abusing trust
Organisations which take the approach of making it difficult to avoid opting-in to emails, or those that over email for short term results are running a alse economy. This leads to long term problems such as deliverability issues and list fatigue which outweigh any short term benefits.
