5 More Shopping Cart Recovery Examples

With an average basket abandonment rate of 68.63%, (Baymard, 2016) it’s becoming increasingly important for retailers to take advantage of cart recovery emails to help recover those lost sales. Here are 5 more shopping cart recovery examples.

Accessorize

This example ticks the boxes for getting the promotional messaging in as a banner while also working well on mobile with the images in the right column being hidden, making the basket details full width of the email.

The Great Little Trading Co

I’ve picked this one because out of the hundreds of cart recovery emails we have in our inboxes this is one of the few that bothers to include the product details in the subject line:
“Your Geometry Rug is still waiting for you”

Habitat

There are things I don’t like about this email as there could be more effort to bring the products above the fold. However, the quirky, on-brand copy in the subject line of ‘We’ve got empty basket syndrome’ and ‘Don’t leave us this way’ works well here.

Liberty

Such a simple email is livened up with a typical Liberty patterned background, something you would expect to see in their store.

Mulberry

I love the layout of this email – it’s incredibly simple but that’s all a cart recovery email needs to be. Plus, it works perfectly on mobile.
