Recently I was sitting in a room full of marketers where we were discussing a range of topics within the marketing function. We were all working towards the same goals, yet everyone had a different way in which they believed was best to achieve this, and a different approach in putting forward their idea. This got me thinking, not all marketers are the same, we all have our opinions, methods and end goals, however we are all branded under the same blanket, despite our different personalities, characteristics and traits.
After a few conversations with some fellow marketers on this very subject, we started thinking beyond different types of marketing professionals, moving onto what famous people would be like as marketers. Before we knew it, we were in the fictional world, comparing characters from our favourite hit TV shows to marketers.
